Ashley Nicole Styles

Hi, I'm

Ashley Nicole

I was born in Dayton, Ohio. I slowly became a big city girl when my parents decided to relocate to Atlanta, Georgia. I wish I can say for as long as I can remember I had an appreciation for the art of fashion but that’s not so. My love for fashion begun once I was older and could buy my own clothes without my parents telling me “take that off girl." What I do remember vividly is my parents always looking at me crazy saying “what in the world do you have on or the classic “that don’t match." Being the strong minded, I don’t care what people think rebel that I am, my parents comments never swayed me.

As I became a young adult, my love for clothes became more evident. I started my “thrifting” phase all because it was way cheaper and I was on a budget in college. Ironically, I became very good at it. I can think back to countless times where people

would always compliment my clothes but be blown off their feet once I informed them where I bought the clothes from and how much it cost. They would say “I need you to show me how to thrift.” I completely understood this sentiment because “thrifting” is in fact an art. Not just anyone can go into Goodwill and put together an outfit that looks like a million bucks!

I noticed my style becoming more and more trendy. I started mixing patterns, not matching ON PURPOSE, buying men’s clothes and rocking the heck out of it! I would be remised if I didn’t acknowledge that I looked at social media sites to get inspiration but the way I wore the clothes is what set me apart … at least I believe. As I became a more assertive and poised woman I started to become more courageous in my appearance. Surprisingly, something really weird start happening once I started to become more funky with my wardrobe selections.  Strangers, I mean complete strangers would approach me, asking me the same exact question. I started to believe it was a sign. This question always presented itself to be a “lightbulb” moment for me. “Are you a stylist?” Once I start hearing this over and over I started to think the … what- if’s.

In the year of 2016, my what-if’s moment were answered. I ran into two women on two rare occasions, not planned at all. They both confirmed for me that I am the master of my own fate and when they looked at me they “thought I was somebody” the only thing that changed their mind is because I said I wasn’t. More importantly , my mentor has made me realize that words are powerful and not to speak anything in the atmosphere that you don’t want to come into fruition.  So in retrospect, I am the one who says who and what I am!

Nevertheless I vowed to myself the next time I was asked the infamous question I would respond with a confident “yes.” I am now 31 years old and want to fulfill my passion of being a fashion and wardrobe stylist. I am committed to making my clients not just look fly but feel fly. I pledge to not only just be your stylist but provide you with a lifestyle that allows you to become confident and fierce effortlessly! Got fashion?
